"The Lord is at hand..."

Something caught my eye this morning.  I have the ESV in a Literary Study Bible.  It's a word-for-word translation, and is laid out as a "reader's Bible."  That means that you can sit down, and just read it like you would any other excellent piece of literature (novel, short story, etc.), without subtitles.

"Mexico Mission 2000"

This was our family's entry into missions.  Taylor was too young to go, so we elected to send our two oldest with their dad.  I remember being overcome with gratitude at what they came home to share.  (Aaron gave me permission to share his journal entry.)...

(Master) - Pt. 3

John Newton, former 18th century slave trader, said,  "I acknowledged the Lord's mercy in pardoning what was past, but depended chiefly upon my own resolution to do better for the next time to come... my strength was no more than my righteousness... I cannot consider myself to have been a believer (in the full sense of the word) till a considerable time afterwards."  ~JN, 1787

A Labor Day Resolution....

To finish all the things that I have started over the past several months (or is it years?)...
